2026 Ms. Missouri Senior
Laura Ritchie

Laura Ritchie

Born and raised in South St. Louis, dance has been at the center of Laura’s life for over 60 years. She began at the age of five and performed at well-known venues such as The Muny, Stages St. Louis, and danced with the Cardinals and Soccer Stars Dance Teams.
Dance took a hiatus while she earned her BS in Nursing at Maryville University. Upon graduation, she held various nursing positions at SSM and earned her Master’s in Healthcare from Webster University.
A move to Chicago in the mid-90’s brought renewed focus on dance. Laura performed a little, but primarily taught dance to adult beginners, and children, including her daughter.
Today, at a young 65, she is back dancing again at Dancing Through Life Studio. She enjoys traveling and visiting her two children and two grandsons in LA.
She continually focuses on her mental and physical health, and has one simple moto: “Do one thing every day that makes you Happy”. For her talent, Laura presented a tap dance routine to a medley of “Get Ready” and “Dancing in the Street.”
