I am so happy and honored to be the president of MPAC. I have gained 75 sisters. Our sisterhood consists of many talented ladies. Some dance, some sing and some recite. We come from all walks of life. We perform in showcases at local nursing homes, assisted living homes, the History Museum and other area organizations.
We are quite proud of our charitable giving. This past year we donated $2100 to local charities. In December, we held a Holiday Luncheon at Greenbriar Country. While enjoying each other’s company we took the opportunity to help the Presbyterian Children’s Home. Each member brought an unwrapped gift that we donated to the home for the holidays.
Our annual Missouri Pageant is held in July and our members work hard each year to make the pageant a success. Members work back stage, in the dressing room, decorating the stage and acting as ushers. We had ten contestants this year and the audience saw a great variety show.
Our new queen, Peggy Brennan won the National title in Atlantic City. She is Ms. Senior America. Missouri now has a queen that represents our state as well as America. This has not happened since 1994. Peg did a song and dance to “People Will Say We’re in Love” from Oklahoma.
